Simple Sinful Cinnamon Muffins

These muffins are simply delish and can become slightly addictive!  A while back Gumbo Lily mentioned in a post about these muffins and of course I had to try it.  She had found the recipe on King Arthur Flour's website. Well, for Mother's Day I decided to give them a try and Oh my they are so good!  Everybody loved them! The second time that I made them I had to put a limit on how many could be had in one day because somebody had about 4 in one afternoon. I'll admit I actually hid the last one because they were getting eaten so quickly and I barely got any!  Hmm maybe I'll make another batch this week! :)

My Mom recently found this picture off me sitting on a friend's lap.  Hmm looks like Liesel.  Funny when I took Liesel to her 9 month doctor's appointment he mentioned that Liesel looked a lot like my hubby's side of the family.  He said I must have the recessive genes.  Well they're not that recessive it you ask me!

9 months!

Yes, I'm now the mother of a 9 month old.  Oh the months go by so quickly! So what is Miss Liesel up to in the last month...

-Spends more time on her stomach but still prefers to roll to where she wants to go.

-Her top right tooth has just cut through the gum

-She has waved twice. The 1st time to her Great-Grandma's on Mother's Day.

-Everything goes in her mouth. (She even managed to eat the corner off one of those cardboard books!)

-She enjoys being outside & going on walks

-She eats 3 solid meals a day

-Only wakes up once at night. (Mommy is thrilled!)

-Loves Callie and will try and grab hold of her every chance she gets.

-Takes baths in the "Big girl" tub

Three years ago

It's really hard to believe that 3 years ago today my DH met JB for the first time!  Their first meeting was at a fast food restaurant in town where my hubby had been paired up to be JB's "big brother" through the local YMCA mentoring program.  A little less than a year later JB started living with us part time and then last summer it became full time.

Who would have thought when my DH started in the mentoring program with a 2-3 hour a week time commitment that it would change into basically a full time parenting position.  Nobody would have guess but the Lord knew and He continues to lead and guide us each step of the way!  It sure is amazing to see how the Lord has worked all this out!
