What a Beautiful Day!

The last two days have been simply lovely. The sun has been shining and the temperature has gone up (at least during the day.) Yesterday it was in the 60's and I think we made it to 70 today! Of course I did hear it's suppose to rain the next two days but I've been enjoying this sun! Here's some pictures from the last two days.

Here's a project that I started working on. I've had JB weed-eat the ditch across the road from our house. This is before...
JB hasn't gotten all of it done but he got a good start. Yesterday Grandma A and I dig up poppies from her garden and transplanted them to the ditch.
I then spent the rest of the afternoon raking up the rest of the debris and cleaning up the lower part of the ditch. JB is still going to weed-eat at least to the sign. I'm planning on planting more poppies, as well as, sunflowers. It will look so pretty this summer!

The beautiful sunset we saw over the lake last evening.

So I got a little carried away...

Well, the weather has been so nice the last couple of days, and the bulbs are just starting to bloom and seeds were on sale at the store...so I got a little carried away.

Yes, I know its way to early to plant half the seeds I brought but I didn't want them to be sold out by the time planting time comes. And of course getting them this early lets me plan exactly where I want to put them. I know we'll have a few more frosts before I can plant but it sure brought a smile to my face to look at all the beautiful/yummy things we hope to grow this year!

Yardwork

The last few days we have been busy in the yard. We have had the goal of pruning all the fruit trees, lay out a garden, and begin some planting. Yesterday we finished the wood chipping in the orchard field, planted blueberries, gooseberries, and marionberries. We also staked out the area for our garden and my DH built six raised beds. This is starting to get exciting!! Here are some pictures of the things we've done!
