37 weeks 6 days

37 weeks and 6 days

Well at my last appointment (on Wednesday) I was 4 cm dilated and Doctor said if I come in next time at 5 cm there's a good likelihood she'll induce me.  She's concerned 1) I'll have a fast labor (Zayah came in under 1 1/2 hrs) and 2) It will be a big baby (Zayah was 9lbs 4oz).  Sooo we'll just wait and see what next week brings.  Until then we're just hanging relatively close to home and waiting.

Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day and my husband claims I was nesting.  With the sun being out who could blame anyone for wanting to be outside.  So yesterday I swept and organized the deck, cleaned out the car, and mowed the lawn.  I will say I probably did to much as I was quite sore that evening but today I feel fine.  I guess that wasn't enough to send me into labor! :)

36 weeks

36 weeks

Ok so right now its more like 36 weeks and 4 days but I haven't had much time to post.  As of my last Dr. visit, which was a week ago Monday, I have started to dilate a little.  In some ways that doesn't mean baby is going to come right away.  With Zayah I started slowly dilating 26 days before he was born. It does mean baby is getting closer to making her appearance in the world and my Dr. told me as long as I made it to 36 weeks I was okay to have the baby anytime.  So now its the waiting game.  My energy level has been up and down but mostly up at this point for which I am very grateful.  I have my hospital bag packed except for last minute items, newborn clothes in the drawers, newborn diapers ready and my DH is almost finished with the bunk beds.  So now we just take each day at a time and enjoy the time I have with my other 2 little ones before there are 3!  :)

The bunk beds just need to be sanded and painted with finish coat

35 weeks

Yep only 5 more weeks to go or maybe just 4.  Can't believe it!  I'll admit my energy level seems to be slowing down and I feel like there is lots to do...Finish reorganizing kids closest and drawers to make room for baby clothes, put baby clothes away once the first is completed, pack hospital bag and bag for kiddos, buy diapers, work on quilt, try and get a few freezer meals done just to name a few. The reality is, if it doesn't get done before baby, oh, well.  We'll all survive aside from not having a hospital bag. (I started working on getting that together. )  I think because of my lower energy level it makes me a little more anxious because just doing the everyday tasks seems to take more out of me then it should! Oh well such is life right now! :)

33 weeks!

Here's the baby bump at 33 weeks and 1 day.  That means we only have about 7 more weeks to go!

We've also had quite a bit of snow the last two days. (Of course its nothing like what there having in the Northeast but its more then normal for us!)  From 4am-3pm yesterday we got 4 inches of snow and since then another inch has fallen and its still snowing.  I think in our area we have the least snow fall.  Another town that is about 30 miles away got 9inches in 24 hours.  That's a lot for us.  I took some fun snow pictures of the kids on my camera and I'll try to download them this weekend.  Until then, here's a picture of Zayah-man eating snow with blueberries and raspberries.  I think its a little cold! :)

January Update

I thought I'd give you a little update on our lives.  Yes, we're still here, yes, I'm still pregnant.  We had a wonderful Christmas season and managed to stay healthy the whole time.  Unfortunately January was our month of sickness and we had our round of colds, fever, sinus infections, stomach flu, and few relapses to boot. We kept a pretty low profile for most of the month and I honestly didn't get out of the house for more then 5 times during all that.  Crazy how that can be!  I'm happy to report that as of right now, we are all healthy and I sure hope it stays that way!  Hopefully its all out of every one's system before the baby arrives.

Speaking of baby, I'm finding it hard to believe we only have about 8 weeks left until her arrival. All of a sudden there seems to be so much to do.  Bunk beds to build for the kiddos, rearranging the closest and dresser so we can fit baby clothes in the room with the other two's clothes, a quilt to make, a name to pick out (suggests are welcome), and "normal" life to keep livin etc.  To me it feels like the count down has started!  Where has the time gone!  We are soon to be a family of 5!

Here's a few pictures from my phone of our life over the last month.

He's never done this before because I normally keep it shut but he got in before I switched loads.

The kids are "hunting" deer

This creature is throwing up in the wheelbarrow.  Apparently the flu has impacted Liesel so much that her toys "play" being sick.

One of the 1st sunny days in a month time and the kids were healthy enough to go out and enjoy it!
