Spring Pictures

No baby yet!  We're still waiting.  It's probably a good thing because the kids and I have been fighting colds for the last week.  Hopefully we are on the recovery side of things but it seems to want to hang on. I figure this little gal will make her appearance when she's good and ready!  And so far she's not ready! :)

I thought I'd share with you a few fun spring photos that I've taken over the last two weeks.  It's been mostly rainy but we had about 2 1/2 days of beautiful weather that we had to get out in!

We had three new baby goats but two didn't make it.  Zayah wants to "hold them."

My DH also finished the kids bunk beds and they slept in them last night.  They love them!

35 weeks

Yep only 5 more weeks to go or maybe just 4.  Can't believe it!  I'll admit my energy level seems to be slowing down and I feel like there is lots to do...Finish reorganizing kids closest and drawers to make room for baby clothes, put baby clothes away once the first is completed, pack hospital bag and bag for kiddos, buy diapers, work on quilt, try and get a few freezer meals done just to name a few. The reality is, if it doesn't get done before baby, oh, well.  We'll all survive aside from not having a hospital bag. (I started working on getting that together. )  I think because of my lower energy level it makes me a little more anxious because just doing the everyday tasks seems to take more out of me then it should! Oh well such is life right now! :)

7 months

Seriously I can't believe this guy is already 7 months.  He is quite the sweetie though he's had a cold for the past week which has made him a little more clingy.

So what is he doing at 7 months...
-Army crawls
-Will take a bottle of Mommy's milk (which means DH and I can go out for longer then 2 hrs!)
-Can sit up but hasn't figured out how to get back up when he falls over.
-Loves to be with and interact with people
-Likes to "chew" on his tongue
-Is eating some solids (ex: rice cereal, carrots, peas-though he shutters with the peas)
-Loves taking showers and baths
-Sort of says "Ma-ma" (normally when he is upset and wants to nurse)
-Loves to smile and laugh

He's just one happy guy!

New Additions to the Farm

Yes, our little farm continues to grow.  As it stands we have 5 goats, 4 hens, 1 rooster, 11 chicks, 1 donkey, our sister-in-law's horse Domino and our latest addition....

Yes, that's right we got two horses.

Meet Country and Rielly
They originally were trail horses on a Dude Ranch and when that closed down another family bought them.  They had Country and Rielly for 5+years but as their family's life has gotten busier they didn't have as much time to ride so they were looking for a new home for the horses.  Well, last Saturday we went to see them and both my DH and I fell in love with them!

Country is a 25 year old quarter horse

Rielly is a 23 year old quarter horse mix

These two are just sweethearts!  Every morning Liesel and I go out and feed them some hay and talk and pet them.  Country and Reilly are sweeties and love/want to be with you! When you walk into the pasture they come right up to you. They're no problem to catch and will stand to be loved on and groomed without halter or lead rope.  Even Liesel rode double with me in our small pasture.  This horses are as even keel as can be which is perfect for us.

Yesterday my DH and I went for a ride on the fields behind our house for the 1st time with the horses.  My DH rode Country, who likes to be in front of the group and I rode Rielly.  We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again!  I admit as a beginner I'm a little more on the nervous side but Rielly did great with me.  We're look forward to many more rides with our sweet horses!

Thank you dear hubby for getting the horses! Now you don't have to worry about Christmas or my birthday! :)
