Let it Snow!

I received a call at 5:00am this morning letting me know school was canceled. JB was thrilled! I was too because I didn't have to drive on the snowy roads to take him to school!

This what it looked like last Thursday!

3 months old

Yes, its true! Our little lady is now 3 months old. She has crossed the milestone marker and is no longer considered a newborn. She is a infant! Oh the time is going by so fast! Here's some pictures from the last several days!

She looks like a little nun.

Can you tell she likes her fingers?!

(I have two videos to post but I'm having problems with them downloading. I'll post them later!)

2 years and 4 months later...

Yes, its true it has really taken me that long to get frame put up in the hallway. So now that there, there I need to get photos printed to put in them! Either that or make up stories about the people who "come in" the frames!

Leaves, leaves and more leaves

Its one of those things that I have a love/hard relationships with.

These two trees produce an amazing amount of leaves.

One can rake one day and the next come out and find just as many, if not more leaves then the day before!

I'll admit it can be rather depressing at times. If it wasn't for the fact that they kill the grass I think I would leave them there. They are quite pretty on the ground.

My little helper!

And then there's these little creatures.

It's not until moving up here that I have formed a great distaste for these rodents! At the present moment they have made our new grass their local underground freeway.

And as you can see they know how to avoid the traps we set for them! I have a feeling they may have eaten all the new bulbs I planted this fall.

Getting Bigger

It is hard to believe that it has already been 5 weeks since Liesel Mae was born! How can that be?! We've sure seen a lot of changes in that time and honestly I can say they have been a little hard. I'm not ready for my little one to out grow her newborn diapers but its happened!

I'm not ready for her to have upgrade to 0-3month clothes because the newborn sleepers are getting to small. So small that she can't fully extended her leg! (My MIL liked this outfit so much she bought Liesel the 0-3 month size.) Don't worry she still is a little small for the 0-3 months.

Yes it is almost time to pack up the things marked newborn and save them for future children. I know everyone says it goes by fast and it's not that I didn't believe them, it's just they are very right!

Little Liesel is growing fast. Her little face is getting rounder and filling out. She is sleeping for longer periods of time more often (3-3 1/2 hours.) She is also getting more alert and loves to look around at her big new world when she is awake.

Yes, we sure do love our little girl and are savoring each moment we have with her as we see how fast it goes!

(You should be impressed I typed this entire post with one hand as Liesel is occupying the other one!)

Two Weeks and a Day

Well, it is hard to believe that Liesel is already two weeks and a day old. The time has gone by fast and she seems to be growing even faster! Both my DH and I have been savoring the moments that we have with her at this small stage. We are realizing more and more how quickly it will pass!

Yesterday Liesel had a doctor's appointment and she now weighs 7lbs. 5oz. That is a pound more than when she was born! She really is a good little eater and she has been sleeping a little bit longer at night.

Here are a few pictures of the last couple of days.

Liesel at One Week

Liesel is now one week old! We went for her 1st doctor's visit and she now weighs 6lbs 12oz. I was a little worried that she wasn't eating enought but her weight proves me wrong!

Here's a little video of her in action. It's not the best as it was taken on my camera but I thought you would enjoy it anyways!
