33 weeks!
Here's the baby bump at 33 weeks and 1 day. That means we only have about 7 more weeks to go!
We've also had quite a bit of snow the last two days. (Of course its nothing like what there having in the Northeast but its more then normal for us!) From 4am-3pm yesterday we got 4 inches of snow and since then another inch has fallen and its still snowing. I think in our area we have the least snow fall. Another town that is about 30 miles away got 9inches in 24 hours. That's a lot for us. I took some fun snow pictures of the kids on my camera and I'll try to download them this weekend. Until then, here's a picture of Zayah-man eating snow with blueberries and raspberries. I think its a little cold! :)

No Baby Yet!
I realize with a week of silence some may be beginning to wonder if maybe that was a nesting instinct that happened on Monday. Well as of today nothing has happened. The real reason for the silence is we lost power around 7:30am, Wednesday morning and got it back around 2pm yesterday. That's about 55 hours with no power.
So what caused the power to go out well...it started with a surprise snow fall Tuesday night over a large area and from there I think they lost several transformers etc. Fortunately my in-laws only lost power for a day so we spent most of the time down there. It really is amazing how much we take for granted with electricity. We don't lose power all that often and this is the longest we've ever been out so we weren't completely prepared. Of course the surprise snow didn't help matters. It was just predicted to rain all night. Instead we found 6+ inches of snow on the ground! It sure was pretty.
As to baby, he seems to be doing fine. When I went to my Doctor's appointment on Thursday I found out I am almost 4 cm dilated and the baby is really low. The Dr. thought I'd probably have the baby that night but I'm still here and very much pregnant! :) But with all that being said there is a very high likelihood that little guy will make he's appearance before the 13th of April. I'd be shocked if he didn't. So now we really feel like we're in the waiting zone and everyone around here is on pins and needles. I haven't had any contractions (or I should say nothing painful) so we just wait!

Busy, busy!
Wow, the last couple of weeks have been quite busy. I have subbed 5+ days, attended baseball practices, done some planting, enjoyed the few sunny days we've had and watched many rainy days (we even had some hail). I've also had a surprise visit from my sweet cousin and her little guy and spent several afternoons looking through and sort through pictures with my mother-in-law. It has been a fun few weeks but it is amazing how fast the time can past. Here is a few pictures of our recent happenings!
Mowing the field
Here's the aftermath
We also added two turkeys to our collection of animals. JB wanted to get one and its best not to just get one so now we have two. They were in a box in the kitchen but on Saturday they graduated to the small coop where the chicks use to be. (Warning: These turkeys aren't pets. The plan is to eat them so don't get to attached.)
Here is also an updated picture of our chicks. They are getting quite big and we have now moved them to the big coop with the big chickens.
So there's just some of the happenings in our neck of the woods!

The To Do List
I really did have great ambitions when I made my To Do List yesterday. Plant new flowers, sweep/clean off porch and deck, prune roses etc. Yesterday was a beautiful springish day with the sun shining, blue sky and slightly warmer temps. I was all ready to accomplish my tasks and was completely bummed when I woke up to it raining outside. Somebody had told me it was suppose to be a nice dry week/end. Hmm that chance of rain thing must have gotten a little overlooked by the weatherman but then again how often are they 100% right!?! (Now it's not to say I can't plant flowers in the rain, I've done it before, but it's not quite as enjoyable.)
So my To Do List took on a new direction...make a fun breakfast for the guys, help JB with homework (we had/have quite a lot since he and my DH were gone 3 days rabbit hunting), take stuff down to the basement and reorganize the shelves, clean up the laundry room, pick up the house, fill up the soap container that I keep forgetting to do, etc. I will admit most of my day has been spent helping and explaining 6th grade math homework and I've tried to get the other stuff down in between. I've probably done more with percents, decimals, and fractions in the last 5 hours then I've done in a while! JB has done a great job of buckling down and getting his homework done. I tried to be good about scheduling breaks and at one point I told him to just go outside and clear his brain. We only have Reading and Science left so I hope to get most of that done tonight! Oh, and I should mention its probably a blessing in disguise that its raining today, otherwise I would have been a little ticked about staying inside to help with homework instead of planting flowers and it would have been much more of a struggle for JB to be inside on such a nice day. God sure knew what He doing when He gave us this weather!
Besides doing homework what else has been going on in our lives?! Well, we had a calf born to one of the big cows. (Actually we had a calf born to each mama but for some reason one didn't make it. She gave birth while we were out of town so the calf could have been stillborn for all we know.) The new little calf we call Midnight. He's a sweet little thing but his mama doesn't like us to get that close to him.
On the same lines as animals we sold good, old Jasper to a mule packing outfit. My DH has wanted to train Jasper ever since he got him over 2 years ago but hasn't found the time. And since he doesn't see the time in the near future we decide it would be best to find a good home for him. We advertised Jasper and by the next day he was sold. He has gone to a really good home where they train mules to pack for hunting trips. It's nice to know that he is in good hands even if we'll miss his handsome face around our place.
We've also been having a lot of little green sprouts shooting up from the ground. I'm thinking the mole might not have gotten all the bulbs I planted this fall! I can't wait to see the first bloom!
Aside from that we haven't been to exciting. I'm starting to think I'm close to being done with morning sickness. I have discovered if I don't get up super early I wake up feeling much better. It's still hard to believe at times that there's a little baby growing inside of me! We sure can't wait to meet our sweetie! :)

A Winter Waterfall
The other day my DH got off work early and took me up into the woods to show me a breath- taking sight. It was almost unreal to see the touch of frost and ice in such a small area. Pictures really don't do it justice. It was an amazing sight!

Current Weather Conditions
At 7:37am the temperature reads 19 degrees with clear skies. The expected high is 32 with tonight's low of 15. Chilly!!!! Believe me I have the fire roaring and will be very bundled up before I take the doggie for a walk and break the ice on the animal's water! Sure is different then S.C.
