Tip-Toeing Through the Tulips

Today my DH took me out on a date to a tulip farm. The sight was just breath-taking! There were so many beautiful varieties and colors. I took lots of pictures but one still can't capture the beauty of it all. There was just so much to take in!

Halfway There!

Well, we are now 20 weeks along. It's hard to believe we are halfway there. I have finally graduated to my "fat" pants as I lovingly call them. I have to say that stretchy waistband feels a lot better than trying to squeeze myself in more "normal" pants. It's sure nice to breath and eat comfortably!

So what else is new for us. The little chicks have finally made their transition to the small coop in the backyard. They're still to little to join the big hens but big enough (and might I add stinky enough) to move to a bigger spot. We put them in there last night and today I saw them exploring all the nooks and crannies of their new home. They sure seem happy, as am I! The smell and dust was really starting to get to me. The timing was right!

Other than that we haven't been to exciting. Today is the first day in about two weeks that it's not pouring rain. A week ago Tuesday there was even snow in town. It sure has seemed like we've had a pretty mild winter but spring has come in with a bang and is making up the difference! I'm hoping that the sun will be hear to stay for awhile!

That seems to be it for now! Next time I'll try and post some pictures of our tulips. Right now they are in full bloom!

He felt her move!

Last night I was sitting on the couch eating my before bed snack when I felt a hard kick. Now I've been feeling movement here and there but this one was a strong one. I put my hand on my tummy to see if I could feel it from the outside and would you believe it I did! As I turned to my DH to tell him and she kicked a 3rd time. I grab my hubby's hand and placed it where she had kicked before. We only had to wait a few more seconds and she gave off a powerful kick! My DH was completely amazed by the whole thing! She did it again a little later in the evening. It wasn't quite as strong but he was still able to feel her. Man, if this is what it's like at 19 weeks I can't imagine what it will be like 2-3 months from now! :)
