36 Weeks

Well, we are official at 36 weeks and counting. That means we should be having this baby in about a month, give or take a few weeks! I'm hoping more for the take side of things. :) I really can't complain because I have been feeling really well and have been able to keep a normal pace of life up. I will admit I am more tired in the evening but as long as I try and make sure I pace myself throughout the day I'm good.

I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and she was a little concerned because it seemed like the baby was breeched. Head up, feet down. She did a quick ultrasound and was happy to inform me that baby is not breeched at all but is head down ready to go. That was a relief for me to hear because if the exercises she was going to give me didn't turn our little girl, than we were talking about a guaranteed C-section.

Other than that everything else seemed to be good. She did tell me I needed to be gaining more weight as I had lost a little since seeing her 2 weeks ago. Part of that maybe because I'm not drinking enough water. It's not that I'm drinking water but with this hot weather I need to be drinking more! So I guess that is also the green light to be eating more though honestly with the hotter weather I don't seem to be as hungry. I guess I'll have to be a little better about snacking more.

The baby's room is also coming along. I finished quilting the quilt top and sent it off to my mom to bind. (Pictures to come soon!) Also this last weekend while my DH took a group of boys camping my mother-in-law and I worked on the curtains in the room and got them completed. It was also neat because my brother-in-law and father-in-law put the mini-blinds up in the room too. Now all that is left to do is finish organizing all the clothes and gifts that were given to us, take down the guest bed, put the crib up, and finish the crib skirt. Plus I do need to make a few sheets for the cradle that will be in our bedroom. We're getting there slowly but surely.

Well, off I go to work more on the room and hopefully be able to get the bed down by this evening!

Quilt Update

I marked the quilting lines on the quilt top.

Pinned the quilt top to the batting and backing.

Ready to quilt!

Quilting in progress.

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Wow, Sweetheart it sure is hard to believe that 2 years ago today we were married! So much can happen in such a short time.
~Four years ago we didn't each other really existed (but boy we were sure hoping the other one did exist).
~Three years ago we just had met each other and were sort of, kinda, possibly interested in each other. Or at least we were willing to take the risk to get to know each other since we liked what we had seen in each other.
~Two years ago we gathered with many friends and family members to vow before God our commitment of love and marriage to one another and that nothing but death would break that. Our journey as a married couple began!
~One year ago we celebrated our first year of marriage. But not only were we getting use to married life (and both enjoying it) but we add an 11 year old boy to the mix 9 months into our marriage.
~Now we are celebrating our 2nd year of marriage and there are still more changes on the wind. The biggest one that we know about is the upcoming birth of our daughter less than a month and a half away.
As crazy as this all might seem we can say with great confidences that this has all been directed by God's hand!

I sure love you and can't tell you how blessed I am to be your wife. God truly gave me a gift when He brought you into my life! I can only thank Him and pray that I can be the Godly wife you deserve!
